IOSCO And IFIE To Hold Global Investor Education Event 18-20 May In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Co-sponsored By The Securities Commission of Malaysia (SC), Major Event Will Feature Speakers From 17 Countries

The International Forum for Investor Education (IFIE) and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) will hold their seventh annual global investor education conference next week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  

Taking place 18-20 May 2015 at the Hilton Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, the event will include expert investor education perspectives from every region around the world.

With the theme "Financial Capability and Investor Engagement: Goals, Strategies and Outcomes,” the 2015 conference will examine the evolution of the investor education field, and the way in which diverse stakeholders can succeed at increasing financial capability nationally, regionally and globally.

Key session topics, workshops and panels at the 2015 event will include: Defining/Redefining Roles of Regulators, SROs, and Central Banks in FC/IE Agenda Work; The Roles of Private and Financial Sectors in FC/IE Agenda Work; Behavioural Economics Implementation in FC/IE; and FC/IE Implementation Challenges in Growth and Emerging Market Jurisdictions.
