Intelligent Trading Technology Awards Shortlists Horizon In Two Categories

Date 14/05/2018

Horizon Software (Horizon), the world’s leading provider of electronic trading solutions and algorithmic technology, announced today that it has been shortlisted in this year’s Intelligent Trading Technology Awards in two categories: ‘Best Sell-Side EMS’ and ‘Best Sell-Side OMS’. Horizon, which has history with these awards having won the former category in the previous year, will be hoping to make it two successive winning years to mark the quality of service it provides to its clients.

The awards, designed to acknowledge excellence in trading technology within capital markets, focus on the community of specialised suppliers of trading operations technology. Only in its second year, the awards ceremony will take place in June; voting was open to end-users at financial institutions from late-April to early-May.

Sylvain Thieullent, CEO of Horizon, commented on the news: “To be shortlisted not just for a second year running but in two separate categories is a great honour for us. While we primarily thrive off the positive feedback from our clients, to be recognised by any awards is welcome praise, let alone by a publication as highly-esteemed as this.” He added: “We are committed to providing clients with the best possible tools to give them the competitive edge and expand their businesses and these two nominations reinforce our conviction in continuing to pursue that mission.”

Horizon has been empowering capital market players for over two decades by building powerful algorithmic technology into its electronic trading platform and offering trading opportunities through direct connections with more than 70 exchanges worldwide. Horizon enables clients to quickly create, test and implement automated trading strategies in real-time, in line with its “Trade Your Way” philosophy. Its platform can be easily integrated with rich APIs and allows proprietary strategies to be built while keeping traders’ code confidential.

Horizon focuses on all trading businesses related to listed markets, including delta-one, structured products and options market making and trading for multiple business entities (proprietary firms/market making/agency trading). Its system covers multiple asset classes including Options, Futures, ETFs, CFDs, Warrants, Fixed Income, Commodities and Equities.

The winners of the awards will be announced in New York on June 12th.
