ICAP Energy Becomes An EEX Derivatives Market Member

ICAP Energy AS ( http://eu.icapenergy.com) a wholly owned ICAP company (www.icap.com ) has become a member of the Derivatives Market of the European Energy Exchange (EEX). ICAP Energy AS offers brokerage services within the financial and physical electricity markets in the Nordic area and Continental European markets. The company is located in Amsterdam and Bergen, and operates its continental market activity from the Amsterdam office.

Fridtjov Bergmann, Head of Continental European markets, said: “Our EEX member-ship will enable us to provide added value services to existing EEX trading participants by relieving the customer’s trade registration procedures. Furthermore, it will enhance our already excellent working relationship with the EEX.”

The EEX is cooperating with five brokers in total among which Tradition Financial Ser-vices and ICAP are directly admitted to the Derivatives Market All five brokers offer brokering services for products that are settled through the OTC clearing services.
