Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission And China Securities Regulatory Commission: Effective Date For Changes To Stock Connect Trading Calendar

Enhancements to the trading calendars for both northbound and southbound Stock Connect will take effect on 24 April 2023. The adjustments address the misalignment between Stock Connect holidays and home market holidays and increase the number of Stock Connect trading days.

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) announced their in-principle approval for the adjustments in a joint announcement in August 2022 (Note 1).

The SFC will work closely with the CSRC and other Mainland counterparts to further develop and enhance Stock Connect as well as other mutual market access schemes.
