The Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) and Tokyo Stock Exchange Group, Inc. (TSE Group) today signed a memorandum of understanding. Both Exchanges believe that this agreement will contribute to the growth of securities markets in both Vietnam and Japan, as well as lead to the development of a more convenient market for market participants in both countries.
Based on this MOU, the exchanges will share information and discuss the possibility of cooperation in areas such as technical assistance training programs, cross-border listing and trading, and the creation of price indices.
Mr. Tran Dac Sinh, President of HOSE said in the statement “The Memorandum of Understanding between TSE Group and HOSE also aims to foster closer ties and to establish a channel for information exchange in the areas of operations, regulatory framework, cross listing, training as well as equities and derivatives products, according to a joint statement. This is an official and long-term commitment for further cooperation between the two Exchanges and the two markets in general."
Mr. Atsushi Saito, President and CEO of TSE Group, commented, “We expect that the signing of this MOU will further deepen the cooperative relationship between HOSE and the TSE Group in listing and many other fields, and that it will enliven securities transactions in both countries through listing of Vietnam stock in TSE. By continuing to enhance cooperation with Asian exchanges in the future, we will keep striving to improve convenience for market participants.”
