HKEx Revised Policy On Suspensions Following Issuers' Publication Of Announcements With Price Sensitive Information To Take Effect Next Monday

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) reminds investors today (Thursday) that its wholly owned subsidiary, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, will implement the revised policy on suspensions following listed issuers' publication of announcements with price sensitive information next Monday, 10 March 2008.

The revised policy and its effective date were announced on 1 February 2008. Starting next Monday:

Shares of Hong Kong-listed issuers announcing price sensitive information between 6:00 am and 9:00 am will no longer be suspended from trading during the morning session.

Listed issuers can also publish all types of announcements between 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm without trading suspensions in the afternoon session.
