Board members from Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) listed companies gathered in the ISE yesterday to hear from a number of expert speakers on corporate governance and regulatory change. The event, ‘Governance for Board Members of Listed Companies’, was held in partnership with Deloitte.

Daryl Byrne, Head of Regulation at the Irish Stock Exchange spoke to guests about the changing regulatory landscape, with a particular focus on changes in EU legislation, and important upcoming developments in the industry.
Chris Hodge, Director at Governance Perspectives, outlined the components of corporate culture and how it links with board composition and succession planning.
Melissa Scully, Senior Manager and Corporate Governance Leader at Deloitte, discussed the key changes under the 2014 UK Code of Corporate Governance and important items for Audit Committees to consider for the remainder of the year and in 2017.
Guests also heard from ISE CEO Deirdre Somers who welcomed guests to the ISE, Colm McDonnell, Partner and Corporate Governance Leader at Deloitte, who gave the opening remarks, and Orla O’Gorman, Head of Equity at the ISE.
