In a blog published late July 2015, Genscape's direct monitoring of the line saw small volume testing occurring in both directions through June and July of up to 750 MW, before reverting to relatively minimal flow for a large part of August and early September.
In today's blog post, "Update: FR-ES Inelfe Transmission Project," Genscape's monitors show that flows have gradually ramped up to a regular profile during September, indicating repeated flows from France into Spain of around 400 MW. The blog also explores how major spikes in flows on September 23-25—and line switching from the neighboring Baixas-Vic line—suggest that that the owners are continuing to test the line's capabilities as winter approaches.
