FTSE-Linked ETFs Hit 100 Landmark In North America

FTSE Group (“FTSE”), the global index provider, is pleased to announce that there are now more than 100 ETFs tracking a FTSE benchmark in North America.

Emerging Global Advisors has today listed the EGShares EM Dividend High Income ETF (EMHD), on NYSE Arca. The new fund tracks the FTSE Equal Weighted Emerging All Cap ex Taiwan Diversified Dividend Yield 50 Index, designed to deliver a broad basket of securities across emerging market countries that have been screened for high dividend yields. This follows the recent launch of two equity ETFs with Vanguard Investments Canada Inc for which FTSE has licensed two indices: FTSE Canada All Cap Index and the FTSE Developed ex North America Index.

In total, eleven ETF issuers in the United States and Canada offer 102 products tracking FTSE’s equity, fixed income, real estate, yield and alternative weighted indices. Globally, FTSE-linked ETFs are offered by nine of the top ten issuers.
