The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse extended Reto Francioni’s appointment as CEO by five years with effect from 1 November 2008 at its meeting on 6 December. Francioni took up the post of CEO for three years on 1 November 2005.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse Kurt Viermetz said, “Deutsche Börse is extremely successful and has set the right course. The Supervisory Board is delighted to be able to continue on this successful path with Dr. Francioni and his Executive Board team."
