FOX Business Network To Broadcast Live From NASDAQ MarketSite Studio On Election Day

Date 02/11/2012

The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) today announced that FOX Business Network (FBN) has chosen the NASDAQ MarketSite as one of its primary broadcast locations to host coverage of the 2012 Presidential Election on November 6. FOX Business Network also held part of its Election coverage live from the NASDAQ MarketSite in 2008.

The NASDAQ MarketSite broadcast studio, NASDAQ's studio for TV and web-based global media, will be transformed into a central location for FBN's evening coverage provided by FBN anchor Liz Claman, and will include use of the NASDAQ Signature Video Wall to illustrate real-time economic data, market statistics and live updates on election results.

To celebrate FOX Business Network's Election Day coverage, Liz Claman, Host of FBN's "Countdown to the Closing Bell" and Co-Host of "After the Bell", will ring The NASDAQ Stock Market Closing Bell at 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, November 6. Claman will begin covering the 2012 Presidential Election from the NASDAQ MarketSite beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m. ET and will continue to report several times per hour until the polls are finalized.

"The NASDAQ MarketSite is an iconic New York City landmark that represents the global capital markets, entrepreneurship and growth opportunity," said Bruce Aust, EVP, NASDAQ OMX. "We are excited to partner with FOX Business Network to bring viewers sophisticated news coverage of the Presidential Election, and to help incorporate valuable economic and market data of importance to U.S. voters and the global community into the coverage of this historical event."

In addition to housing the state-of-the-art NASDAQ MarketSite broadcast studio, the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square includes a dynamic event space, which provides a backdrop for NASDAQ to celebrate daily Market Open and Close ceremonies, initial public offerings, meetings with analysts, investors and board members, and interaction with the media community.
