Secretary Lew today convened a meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council in executive and open sessions at the Treasury Department.
During the executive session, the Council finished its discussion of the 2015 annual report. In addition, the Council received an update from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation regarding resolution planning for bank holding companies. Finally, the Council heard an update from the Treasury Department on international market developments.
During the open session, the Council discussed and voted on its 2015 annual report, which was released after the meeting. The Council also received a presentation on and voted to approve charters for its staff committees.
Finally, the Council voted to approve the minutes of its March 11 and April 20 meetings.
