Final Selection Of Shares For AEX, Amsterdam Midkap And Amsterdam Small Cap Indices

Under the rules for the AEX-index®, the Amsterdam Midkap index® and the Amsterdam Small cap index®, each index is reweighted annually after the close of the markets on the first trading day of March.

In connection with this, the following changes to the AEX index, the Amsterdam Midkap index and the Amsterdam Small cap index will come into effect on Friday 2 March 2007, provided that no mergers, takeovers, delistings or readmissions to listing take place in the interim.

AEX-index

  • The following shares will be included in the AEX-index: Mittal Steel, and Randstad (currently included in the Amsterdam Midkap index).
  • The following shares will be removed from the AEX-index: Getronics (to be included in the Amsterdam Midkap index).

Amsterdam Midkap index

  • The following shares will be included in the Amsterdam Midkap index: Getronics (currently included in the AEX-index), BinckBank (currently included in the Amsterdam Small cap index), and SNS Reaal and Tele Atlas.
  • The following shares will be removed from the Amsterdam Midkap index: Randstad (to be included in the AEX-index), and Hunter Douglas, Pharming Group and Vastned Retail (all to be included in the Amsterdam Small cap index).

Amsterdam Small cap index

  • The following shares will be included in the Amsterdam Small cap index: Hunter Douglas, Pharming Group and Vastned Retail (all currently included in the Amsterdam Midkap index), and Beter Bed, Endemol, MacIntosh Retail Group and Wavin.
  • The following shares will be removed from the Amsterdam Small cap index: BinckBank (to be included in the Amsterdam Midkap index), and BE Semiconductors, Fornix BioSciences, Innoconcepts, Kendrion and Nieuwe Steen Investments.

Full details of the constituents of the AEX-index, the Amsterdam Midkap index and the Amsterdam Small cap index, including their indicative new weightings, are provided in the appendix.
