Euronext Leads Europe In Second-Quarter Listings

Euronext was number one in Europe for capital raised in new listings during the second quarter of 2006.

According to the latest independent figures from PricewaterhouseCoopers, companies listing on Euronext markets during the period together raised EUR 4.16 billion, representing 21% of the total for all European market listings.

Since the beginning of the year, and allowing for listing of investment companies as well as the exercise of greenshoe options, 69 companies have joined Euronext markets, compared with 78 in all for 2005.

These 69 listings together raised EUR 8.7 billion and added EUR 37 billion to total market capitalization.
