Equity Trading Temporarily Suspended At The Montreal Exchange

Due to a power outage in the Canadian Venture Exchange building (CDNX) which houses the electronic trading platform used by the Montreal Exchange for its 131 listed companies, the equity trading of the Montreal Exchange was suspended today.

This power outage has not affected the trading of options and futures at the Montreal Exchange.

The equity trading of the Montreal Exchange should resume tomorrow morning, subject to further confirmation.
