The efl – the Data Science Institute, in partnership with Deutsche Börse AG, has announced its Annual Conference 2026, set to take place on 26 November 2026 at Deutsche Börse AG's The Cube in Eschborn, Germany.
The conference, themed "Better Data, Less Fragmentation & More Retail – Success Factors for European Financial Markets?", will bring together leading researchers, practitioners, and regulators to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing European capital markets today.
Key topics on the agenda include the European liquidity gap, market fragmentation, and the global competitiveness of European capital markets. Delegates will also explore the EU's Capital Markets Union (CMU) and Savings and Investments Union (SIU), the rollout of the Consolidated Tape, and the implications of the Payment for Order Flow (PFOF) ban on market structure and investor outcomes.
Two dedicated panel discussions will examine structural barriers to market integration and strategies to boost retail investor participation. The event will also feature the latest research from efl, covering investment, trading, and data science.
