ECX Market Update & EUA Volume – February 2008

Highlights:

• February was the second highest volume month on record. Close to 140 Mt1EUAs traded on ECX, up 122% on February 2007. Futures represented 84% and options 16%

• Average daily futures and options volume were 6.7 Mt

• Futures open interest stands at 148 Mt, options open interest at 60 Mt (split in 40 Mt for calls and 20 Mt for puts)

• ECX & ICE Futures Europe welcome two new emissions members this month: Klima Invest A/S and Susquehanna International Group (SIG)

• ECX look forward to the launch of CER futures contracts on 14 March 2008
