The Dubai Financial Market Received yesterday a high-level Swedish financial delegation, the visit aim is to strengthen financial and investment relations, and explore cooperation opportunities.
His Excellency Essa Kazim, Chairman of the Dubai Financial Market, and other DFM officials Welcomed the delegation headed by His Excellency Mats Odell Minister for local government & financial markets, Kingdom of Sweden along with a number of Swedish companies representatives, in addition to His Excellency Bruno Beijer Ambassador of Sweden to the UAE.
The Chairman of the Dubai Financial Market said:"UAE has a very strong economic relations with Sweden . We had a fruitful discussion that covered the relationship between the two countries, especially the cooperation in the financial and banking sectors, as the delegation consisted of a number of senior officials from banks and financial services companies in Sweden. The discussions also addressed the global financial markets developments, both sides reaffirmed the importance of international cooperation to contain the implications of the global crisis, which didn’t save any part of the world."
The Minister for local government & financial markets, Kingdom of Sweden said:"I think we share great opportunities that encourages fruitful cooperation between the two countries . we look forward to form new partnerships, that will lay a strong foundation for long term growth of our economies."
The Swedish delegation visit to the Dubai Financial Market is part of a tour in the region that includes, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. His Excellency Bruno Beijer Ambassador of Sweden to the UAE said:" there is huge opportunity to develop the relations between the UAE and Sweden as the UAE is Sweden’s second largest trading partner in the Middle East."
