Effective 27 December, new index weights will apply for companies in the equity indices of Deutsche Börse. Deutsche Börse released the preliminary weighting figures on Wednesday. An update of the preliminary weighting will be published on Friday. The preliminary data can be downloaded from the Deutsche Börse website (www.deutsche-boerse.com). The final figures based on Friday’s Xetra closing prices will be published on the Deutsche Börse website on Saturday.
On Wednesday 5 December, Deutsche Börse has decided on changes in its equity indices, that will take effect on 27 December. Biotest Vz. will be included in SDAX replacing Cash.Life. In TecDAX the share of Centrotherm will be included, GPC Biotech will be leaving the Index.
Due to unscheduled adjustments, the changes in MDAX and SDAX as announced 5 December have already been effective on 12 December. According to this Gildemeister was included in MDAX replacing Techem. The share of Highlight Communications moved to SDAX replacing the share of Gildemeister, also effective on 12 December.
The next equity index review is scheduled for 5 March 2008.
