Deutsche Börse Looks Back On A Successful IPO Year In 2006 - First IPO Of 2007 On The Frankfurt Stock Exchange: InterCard AG Informationssysteme

Deutsche Börse looks back on a positive year for the primary market in 2006. A total of 210 companies were listed for the first time in Frankfurt, with all segments receiving new issues. The number of IPOs on the Prime Standard increased to 40 companies (2005: 17 companies), while the number of companies going public on the General Standard rose to 9 (2005: 1 company). 59 companies were admitted to the Entry Standard, which was launched in October 2005 as the segment for small and medium-sized companies on the Open Market and included around 20 companies by the end of 2005. The highest year-on-year growth was recorded on the Open Market, which now includes 102 listed companies (2005: 26 companies). This annual result represents Deutsche Börse's most substantial rise in the number of new issues since the resegmentation of the stock market in March 2003.

The 210 new issues carry a market capitalization of around €32.4 billion, €25 billion of which went to the Prime Standard alone. The market capitalization of new issues in 2005 totaled €12.8 billion. The total issue volume for all segments amounts to €7.9 billion.

On Friday, the first IPO of 2007 was executed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. InterCard AG Informationssysteme (ISIN DE000A0JC0V8) went public on the Entry Standard with an initial price of 5.50 Euro. The issue price was 5.00 Euro, while the placement volume in shares totaled 149,200.
