Deutsche Börse: 50th Company Admitted To The Entry Standard - Entry Standard Established As Alternative Capital Market Access - PRIMAG AG Becomes The 50th Company To Join

Date 10/07/2006

On Monday, Deutsche Börse admitted PRIMAG AG to the Entry Standard, the 50th company to be included in the segment for small and medium-sized enterprises. As part of the Open Market segment, the Entry Standard has successfully established itself since its launch in 2005. “We welcome PRIMAG AG as the 50th company in the Entry Standard. The fact that 50 companies are listed in this new segment roughly nine months after its launch shows the high degree of acceptance among companies and investors, and confirms the success of the Entry Standard. Compared to other continental European markets, the Entry Standard has thus far proven to be the most popular”, said Rainer Riess, Managing Director Stock Market Business Development.

The new Entry Standard provides companies with flexible and cost-efficient access to the capital market with low regulatory requirements. The liquidity of the Entry Standard has increased substantially since its launch, which is testimony to the considerable interest in the segment among institutional investors in particular. 42 designated sponsors supply additional liquidity. Compared to segments on other European stock exchanges, the Entry Standard displays far higher average liquidity per company.

The Entry Standard is also characterized by a broad spectrum of different sectors, including companies from the industrial, telecommunications, pharmaceutical & healthcare, IT, renewable energy, nanotechnology, software and financial services sectors.

Deutsche Börse offers two equity indices for the Entry Standard, the Entry Standard Index and the Entry Standard All Share Index, which chart the share price performance of Entry Standard companies and ensure additional visibility.

The Entry Standard allows Deutsche Börse to offer small and medium-sized companies in particular an alternative means of access to the market. The Entry Standard is primarily designed for qualified investors who are able to assess opportunities and risks in a less regulated market segment. Significant transparency requirements and rules of conduct for investor protection that must be upheld on organized markets like the Prime Standard and General Standard do not apply to the Entry Standard.

Further information about Entry Standard can be found in Deutsche Börse's Listing Center.
