Deutsche Börse’s cash markets generated a turnover of €113.31 billion in January (previous year: €172.95 billion / previous month: €106.95 billion).
€110.38 billion were attributable to Xetra (previous year: €168.22 billion / previous month €103,93 billion), bringing the average daily Xetra trading volume to €5.67 billion (previous year: €8.65 billion / previous month: €4.86 billion). Trading volumes on Börse Frankfurt were €2.93 billion (previous year: €4.73 billion / previous month: €3.01 billion).
By type of asset class, equities accounted for €96.93 billion in the entire cash market. Trading in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs generated a turnover of €14.84 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.53 billion, in certificates €0.97 billion and in funds €0.04 billion.
The DAX stock with the highest turnover on Xetra in January was Linde plc with €9.47 billion. Commerzbank AG led the MDAX with €1.60 billion, while Nordex SE led the SDAX index with €197.39 million. In the ETF segment the iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF generated the largest volume with €425.02 million.
