Details, Fees And Provision Of Tokyo Stock Exchange Proximity Service

Date 24/09/2010

In order to further improve convenience for market users, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) announced last June that it would begin providing the TSE Proximity Service, which aims to become the hub of the Asian markets. Details of this service, including fees and the commencement of provision, have recently been determined.

First, flexible usage conditions have been prepared, especially compared to the Co-Location Service at Primary Site provided at our high-security Co-Location Area. These flexible conditions include providing service to information vendors and other non-Trading Participants, and permission for regular entry into the Proximity Area, in addition to permitting Proximity Service use of External Connection Lines currently being used for the Co-Location Service with small additional Fee.

The pricing structure for the Proximity Service will have Proximity Service Charges and Network Charges, in the same manner as the Co-Location Service. Proximity Service Charges are composed of monthly Basic Charge and Power and Cooling Fees (metered), as well as Electric Construction Fees and Service Introduction Fees when the service begins. Network Charges are composed of arrownet Connection Fees and External Connection Fees.

TSE will begin accepting applications for this Service from today, while also preparing facilities for installation by mid-October to allow for the prompt commencement of services. Please contact TSE and refer to the “Wellcome Pack for TSE Proximity Service” for information regarding service details and usage methods.
