DeSouza Joins SIFMA As Manager, Global Communications

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) today announced that Andrew DeSouza has joined as manager, global communications.

Mr. DeSouza is the newest member of SIFMA’s Global Communications and Member Engagement department. He will communicate SIFMA’s work on key issues in the policy, regulatory and market practice areas with the media.

Mr. DeSouza joins SIFMA from the public affairs department of the US Treasury, where he worked for two years as a public affairs specialist working with media on a range of issues including tax, terrorism finance and the financial crisis. He has also worked on the Hill, as press aide for US Congressman Mark Kennedy and as an intern with US Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite.

In 2005, Mr. DeSouza earned a BA in journalism and mass communications from Arizona State University.
