Deletion Of Distribuidora y Servicios In The S&P Latin America 40 Index

Standard & Poor’s today announced the following changes in the S&P Latin America 40 Index:

• Deletion of Distribuidora y Servicios (Chile, Sedol 2253653, GICS Code: 30101040) effective after the closing of trading of Thursday, January 29, 2009. Distribuidora y Servicios is being deleted from the index as result of the tender offer for all the outstanding shares by Wal-Mart Stores (USA).
• Distribuidora y Servicios will be replaced by Cencosud (Chile, Sedol B00R3L2, GICS: Consumer Staples, GICS Code: 30101040) effective after the close of business of Thursday, January 29, 2009.

Cencosud will be added into the index with 2,114,130,000 shares outstanding. Its Investable Weight Factor will be 0.4647.
