Independence and high standards of professional conduct are crucial for ESMA’s performance and reputation. When conflicts of interests are not properly identified and managed, they can seriously endanger the integrity and credibility of an organisation. Defining an effective policy approach to dealing with conflict of interests is therefore essential. The present policy aims at providing guidance on the management of conflicts of interests to ESMA Staff.
