Eircom, Parthus Technologies, TeleCity, Turbo Genset, Innovation Group, Intec Telecom Systems, Orchestream Holdings, Zen Research, Telework Group, First Technology, Medisys, Knowledge Support Systems and InterX will become new constituents of the index, taking effect from close of business on Friday 15 September 2000. To make way for these new entrants thirteen companies - Nettec, Roxboro Group, Motion Media, 365 Corporation, Xaar, MERANT, British Biotech, Cantab Pharmaceuticals, Skillsgroup, Synstar, DCS Group, QSP Group and Moneyextra - will be deleted from the FTSE techMARK 100.
The Committee approved the constituent changes in accordance with the FTSE techMARK Ground Rules, which are available at http://www.ftse.com
Commenting on the announcement, Mark Makepeace, FTSE Managing Director said: “Constituent changes to all of FTSE’s indexes simply reflect movement in the market. These changes ensure that the indexes continue to accurately reflect the underlying market.”
