The Commodity Markets Council (CMC), formerly known as the National Grain Trade Council, has announced the appointment of Michael D. Walter in the position of president of the organization. The Kansas City Board of Trade, as a founding member of this organization, is proud to recognize the appointment of Mr. Walter.
“As a founding member of the Commodity Markets Council, the Kansas City Board of Trade is excited to have Michael Walter leading the restructured organization and sharing its fresh, new value proposition with users of all physically delivered, exchange-traded commodities,” said KCBT President and CEO Jeff Borchardt. “Mike’s tremendous experience and skill set will not only increase the visibility of the Council, but also bring in new members representing energy, soft commodities and livestock interests, thereby enhancing the collective expertise of the Council in addressing issues critical to our industry.”
