Yesterday, I filed a comment letter in connection with the Department of Labor’s proposed rule to impose a fiduciary duty standard on broker-dealers, available here http://www.sec.gov/news/speech/2015/gallagher-dol-comment-ttr-7-21-15.pdf.  I hope and expect that the Department of Labor will take my views into consideration as it wrestles with this ill-advised rulemaking.
