CME Group To Offer Dairy Complex Contracts Electronically

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse exchange, announced today that five products in the dairy complex will also be offered on CME Globex(R), the exchange's electronic trading platform, for virtually around the clock trading scheduled to begin September 17.

The products include futures and options on futures for Nonfat Dry Milk and Class IV Milk as well as options on futures for Dry Whey, Class III Milk and Cash-Settled Butter. Nonfat Dry Milk, Class IV Milk and Class III products will continue to be offered for trading in open outcry during regularly scheduled market hours.

Electronic trading hours for the dairy contracts will be the same for other commodity products. Trading begins on Monday at 9:05 a.m. Chicago time and remains open through Friday 1:30 p.m. with daily hour-long trading halts at 4:00 p.m.
