CME Contract Specifications Changes: Fortune e-50™ Index Futures Launches On Globex®2 September 5, 2000

The CME Contract Specifications pages on the CME's Web site have been updated to reflect the following: Effective on Tuesday, September 5, 10:30 a.m. trading in FORTUNE e-50 Index futures will be available virtually 24 hours a day on the CME's GLOBEX®2 electronic trading system, from 3:45 p.m. (Central) until 3:15 p.m. the following day. The FORTUNE e-50 Index futures will provide a risk management and investment tool specifically designed to track the performance of companies shaping the Internet economy.

The ticker symbol for e-50 futures shall be "FE"; the ticker symbol for All-Or-None (AON) e-50 futures shall be "FJ." The spot index ticker is "IE" while the ticker symbol for the special opening quotation shall be "IF." The contract months of December 2000 and March 2001 will initially be listed for trade. The Exchange will also list the December/March calendar spread and the December e-50/E-Mini Nasdaq 100 contract quoted on a four-to-one basis (i.e., four e-50 contracts less a single E-Mini Nasdaq contract).

Contract size is $20 times e-50 Index. The minimum price fluctuation is 0.50 Index Points or $10.00.
