CLSA And Asset Plus To Become New Members Of Stock Exchange Of Thailand On June 3

The Managing Director of the Capital Market Opportunity Center (CMOC) and the Market for Alternative Investment (MAI), of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), Ms. Sopawadee Lertmanaschai, has disclosed that, "From Monday June 3, 2002, two new brokers will be joining the bourse: Asset Plus Securities Co., Ltd. will assume SET membership No. 11, using the code 'ASSET', while CLSA Securities (Thailand) Ltd. will assume membership No. 45 using the code 'CLSA'. The new brokers have good potential and readiness to serve all investors. Becoming new SET member companies will greatly enhance their customer base plus more number of brokers will provide more choices for investors."

"In addition to these two new brokers, there are two securities companies expected to be ready to advance to full SET membership within the year, HSBC Securities (Thailand) Ltd., and Vajira Finance and Securities Ltd. Global Thai Securities Ltd., Barclays Capital Securities (Thailand) Ltd., and BTM Finance and Securities Ltd. are also undertaking the preparation process," Ms. Sopawadee said.

Asset Plus has 225 million baht in registered capital. It currently provides investment banking services and securities services in four areas: securities brokerage, investment advisory, private fund management, and securities underwriting.
