Change In Management Of The Copenhagen Stock Exchange

As member of the executive team at OMX Hans-Ole Jochumsen works to create the OMX Nordic Exchange through the integration of the exchanges in Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen, Tallin, Riga and Vilnius. To focus on this task Hans-Ole is stepping out of the management board of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Simultaneously Deputy President Jan Ovesen is appointed President of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange from September 15, 2006.

Hans-Ole Jochumsen has been both a member of the executive team of OMX as President of business area Information Services & New Markets and president of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange since 2005.

”As a member of the executive team of OMX it is logical for me to let go of the operational responsibilities at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. This will allow me to concentrate fully on the exciting task of realizing the vision of the Nordic Exchange. Creating greater visibility for companies through information services in the Nordic region and internationally as well as developing the Baltic exchanges are among my responsibilities,” President Hans-Ole Jochumsen says.

Jan Ovesen will still be responsible for the Danish market, which is part of the OMX business area Nordic Marketplaces. Jan Ovesen is furthermore the head of a number of executive functions in the business area Nordic Marketplaces. Jan Ovesen, MSc (Economics), 48, has been a member of the board of directors of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange since 2000.
