On Thursday, July 15, 2010, members of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Subcommittee on Convergence in Agricultural Commodity Markets will conduct a conference call from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m., to discuss recent developments in the wheat markets.
The Subcommittee on Convergence in Agricultural Commodity Markets, a subcommittee of the CFTC’s Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC), was formed by the CFTC to identify the causes of poor cash-futures convergence in select agricultural commodity markets and to advise the Commission on actions to address the situation. The Subcommittee held a number of public conference calls during 2009 and issued a report with recommendations to the AAC in October 2009.
