CESR published today the response it sent to EFRAG commenting on the consultation on Strengthening the European Contribution to the International Standard Setting Process, referred to as EFRAG enhancement. CESR highlights that it is essential that an adequate representation of the interests of the EU securities supervisors and enforcers of IFRS in the EFRAG’s Supervisory Board be ensured. CESR also strongly supports to remain its status as official observer to EFRAG’s Technical Expert Group within the new structure of EFRAG.
