A senior staff of the Central Japan Commodity Exchange (C-Com) gave a lecture on C-Com’s Rubber Index Futures Market on Wednesday, May 28 at the 5th Shanghai Derivatives Forum held in Pudong Shangri-La Hotel in Shanghai.
This Forum, one of the most significant derivatives events in China, has been held once a year for the past four years by Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE). The subject of this year’s Forum was "Economic Globalization and Functions of Derivatives Market", and the Forum was divided into a general conference, international exchange workshop and four commodity seminars; gold, energy, base metals and natural rubber. Upon the invitation by SHFE, Mr. Izumo, Deputy General Manager of Market Operation Division of C-Com gave an introduction and talked about how to use the C-Com Rubber Index Futures Market at the international rubber seminar. The Forum attracted about 1,000 derivatives professionals from China and other countries during the three day period (from May 27 through 29), and C-Com’s presentation was received by about 200 audience who filled the room with the capacity of 150.
