The record for 10-Year electronic options also contributed to daily volume records for total electronic options contracts and total electronic financial options contracts traded on e-cbot®. The new high mark for CBOT electronic options now stands at 180,155 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 172,429 contracts set May 12, 2006. And the new record for electronic financial options is 175,009 contracts, surpassing the prior record of 166,148 contracts, also set on May 12, 2006.
Electronic trading of financial options contracts represented 29 percent of yesterday’s total volume of financial options traded at the Exchange.
