BM&FBOVESPA has disclosed the minimum bid price for the sale of Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs) – also known as carbon credits -, held by the São Paulo Municipal Government: €14.20 per ton. The auction will take place tomorrow, September 25th. A total amount of 713,000 CERs will be auctioned in a single lot under the terms of the Clean Development Mechanism – 454.343 CERs from the Bandeirantes landfill Energy Project and 258.657 CERs from São João landfill Energy Project.
The internet-based auction will be held at 8:30 a.m. (Brasilia time) or (11:30 GMT) or (12:30 CET).

The financial settlement will be mediated by the BM&FBOVESPA Settlement Bank. The Bank of Brazil will confirm the letters of credit to be issued by the banks listed in the Notice. Standby letters of credit must be submitted as collateral to the Bank of Brazil, London branch, in the city of London, United Kingdom.
