Cap Gemini N.V to be removed from Amsterdam Midkap Index once Bid is accepted

On June 16, 1999, Cap Gemini S.A., the French parent company of Cap Gemini N.V., issued a press release announcing its intention to acquire all the outstanding shares in Cap Gemini N.V. by means of a public share exchange bid. Cap Gemini N.V. will be removed from the Amsterdam Midkap Index (AMX) as soon as possible once the bid is accepted. The weighting assigned to Cap Gemini N.V. will be distributed proportionately between the 24 remaining securities. Cap Gemini S.A. has applied for a listing on the official market of Amsterdam Exchanges' stock market.
