The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) has named Tina Campbell as the new Chief of the Human Resources Division.
Campbell comes to CalPERS from the Employment Development Department (EDD) where she served for the last five years as its Chief of Human Resources supervising all aspects of human resources including recruitment, exams, compensation and training. Her 23 years of state experience in human resources and performance management includes serving as Chief of Executive Appointments and Administration at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and as a member of the California Performance Review initiative.
Campbell began her role on June 24 and will report to Doug Hoffner, CalPERS Deputy Executive Officer for Operations & Technology.
"Tina brings a wealth of experience and management skills to CalPERS," said Hoffner. "As a veteran in State human resource management she will be a valued member of CalPERS leadership team."
