Bucharest Stock Exchange(BVB) trading session of January 25, 2011, was occasioned by the trading start on the BVB regulated market of Fondul Proprietatea shares.
The event was carried out by Dr. Mark Mobius, President, Franklin Templeton Investments together with Greg Konieczny, Executive Vicepresident, Franklin Templeton Investments and fund manager of Fondul Proprietatea, Dana-Mirela Ionescu, President-General Manager, Raiffeisen Capital&Investment, Gabriela Anghelache, President, CNVM, Bogdan Dragoi, President of the Representatives Board, Fondul Proprietatea, Stere Farmache, President, BVB, and Valentin Ionescu, General Manager, BVB.
Dr. Mark Mobius, President of Franklin Templeton Investments: “After more than four months since we took the mandate, we are happy to see Fondul Proprietatea shares listed on BVB. Our goal is to develop the Romanian capital market and Fondul Proprietatea will represent Romania worldwide.”
„The listing of Fondul Proprietatea could generate a cascade of positive events for the capital market, in particular, but also for the economy in general. Today’s listing can have an effect of driving for the other companies that are in the state portfolio, but part of them in the Proprietatea Fund portfolio, and are expected to list on Bucharest Stock Exchange.”, said Stere Farmache, President of BVB.
“Listing FP represents an incentive for BVB. FP will bring more transparency and the trades will increase the market capitalization and free float, so that the FP trades represent an attraction for the investors.” stated Gabriela Anghelache, President of CNVM.
The official opening of the trading session was followed by a press conference.

Today, January 25, 2011, BVB registered a series of market records influenced by the trading of Fondul Proprietatea shares:
1. record in the number of orders during the market pre-opening for one instrument: cca. 3500
2. record in the number of order management operations for one instrument, during one trading session: over 30.000
3. record in the traded value for one instrument, during one trading session of the regular shares market: 50.12 mil euro
4. record in the number of trades for one instrument, during one trading session of the regular shares market: 5.638
5. record in the total daily turnover for the shares regular market: 56.67 mil euro
Moreover, the BVB website, “Market Data”section, was visited today by a double number of users, compared to the 2010 daily average, which made 4 times more queries, compared to the daily average of last year.
