The exercise of stock options on BOVESPA added up to BRL 743,777,031.20 on August 20. Call options totaled BRL 429,676,767.20 while put options amounted to BRL 314,100,264.00. The first exercise of POP (Protected and Participative Investment) series of options, with six months expiration term, represented BRL from the total registered on the day.
Launched on February 9, 2007 , POP is made up of a certain stock on the cash market and its corresponding call option and put option on the options market. Next authorized series will expire on October and December 2007, and on February 2008.
