Borsa Italiana STAR Conference 2010 - STAR Companies Present Their Half Results To The International Financial Community In London

Date 05/10/2010

Companies belonging to Borsa Italiana’s STAR segment meet international investors at the tenth edition of the “STAR Conference London 2010”.

On Tuesday 5, Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 October, 47 small&mid cap companies belonging to the Main Market’s segment dedicated to best investment practice, will present their first half year results to the international financial community in one to one meetings at the London Stock Exchange.

60 international investment houses will take part in the event, with over 370 meetings arranged during the three days, with an average of 8 meeting per company.

Star companies are 73, representing 24% of the total listed companies, with an average daily turnover of 33 million euro and 11,377 contracts (September 2010)

The STAR segment has been characterized, since its inception in April 2001, by its openness to international firms. This has been possible thanks to STAR’s listing requirements and initiatives promoted by Borsa Italiana. The first STAR Conference was organized in London in September 2001: it was the first of a series of meetings which, during the past 10 years, have taken place in the most important financial centres in the world with the cooperation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
