BME will tomorrow distribute a €84.9 million final dividend among its shareholders or 1.01647 euros per share, which combined with the €0.956 euros per share interim dividend distributed last January, will increase the ordinary dividend by 65% to 1.97 euros per share.
The company’s pay out stands at 82%, ranking among the highest in the sector worldwide.
In addition to this, a €47.6 million extraordinary dividend or 0.569 euros per share, will be paid out to shareholders on May 21st, as agreed by the General Shareholders Meeting that was held on April 30th.
Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) posted a net profit of €55.4 million in the first quarter of 2008, which represents a 10.6% rise on the €50.1 million reported in the same period in 2007. The figure represents an all-time high for BME quarterly profits.
