BME And BBV Launch New Version Of The Bolivia Stock Exchange's Trading Platform

Bolsa Boliviana de Valores (BBV) and BME have successfully implemented a new version of the SMART BBV trading platform.

Jointly designed, the new version of the SMART BBV - which supports Equities and Fixed Income - has been developed by BME and provides the Bolsa Boliviana de Valores with new functionalities which add to those initially implemented.

It is worth mentioning the inclusion of electronic trading of primary markets, which allows issuers to choose from different types of auctions, namely discriminatory (British), uniform price (Dutch) or composite (modified Dutch) based on their needs and supply and demand conditions.

With the start of this new stage of the SMART BBV, the Bolsa Boliviana de Valores takes a step forward in the technological and functional modernisation of its markets in financial instruments, in which it has relied on the collaboration of BME throughout the implementation, maintenance and support work.

BME thus reaffirms its commitment to Latin American markets within the framework of its internationalisation process.
