In April, BM&FBOVESPA traded a total of 4,302,392 contracts via the DMA (Direct Market Access) model, with 426,107 trades via the GTS system. With this result, the negotiated contract number presented in April a growth of 31% over to the registered monthly average in the first quarter of 2009 that was of 3,280,365. The number of trades, in turn, grew 52%, also in comparison with the monthly average first quarter, which reached 278,962.
The volumes traded in April per type of DMA access were as follows:
- Orders routed to the GTS via the CME Group Globex: 272,540 contracts, in 18,122 trades and BRL 30.20 billion.
- Orders routed to the GTS via the DMA Model 1: 3,979,152 contracts, in 406,559 trades and BRL 301.77 billion.
- Orders routed to the GTS via the DMA Model 2: 50,700 contracts traded, in 1,426 trades and BRL 5.30 billion.
