BM&FBOVESPA Announces The 3rd Preview For Ibovespa And Other Indices, Valid For Sep 2013-Jan 2014

BM&FBOVESPA announces the third preview for the BOVESPA Index theoretical portfolio, which will be valid for the period of September 02, 2013 to January 03, 2014, based on the closing of the August 29, 2013 session. The preview registers the entrance of Anhanguera ON (AEDU3 ON) and of Kroton ON (KROT3) onto the Ibovespa portfolio, which is now made up of 73 stocks from 67 companies.
 
The five stocks with the heaviest weight in this index were: Vale PNA (8.297%), Petrobras PN (7.615%), Itauunibanco PN (4.59%) OGX Petróleo ON (4.263%) and Bradesco PN (3.690%).
 
In comparison, the stocks with the heaviest weighting in the Ibovespa portfolio for May 06-August 30, 2013 were: Vale PNA (8.585%), Petrobras PN (8.009%), OGX Petróleo ON (5.061%), Itauunibanco PN (4.402%) and Bradesco PN (3.468%).
 
BM&FBOVESPA regularly announces three new previews for the indices. The first preview is disclosed in the first trading session of the last month of the existing portfolio, the second in the trading session that follows the 15th of the last month of the existing portfolio and the third in the last trading session or the last month of the existing portfolio. The Exchange also announces the portfolios of the other indices that it calculates. The changes are in the annexed files.
 
 
About the Methodology
 
Ibovespa: Composed of the stocks whose negotiability indices, financial volume participation and trading session presence during the previous 12 months met the criteria established by their respective calculation methodologies.
 
IBrX-50 and IBrX - Brazil Indices: Following an international methodology, these indices are composed respectively of the 50 and 100 most traded stocks at BOVESPA, weighted by their market capitalization.
 
MidLarge Cap and Small Cap: These indices were developed to measure the performance of the companies listed in the Exchange segmenting them by market capitalization.
