BM&FBOVESPA And BNDES Present The Carbon Efficient Index At COP 16

BM&FBOVESPA and the BNDES present the ICO2 Carbon Efficient Index, on December 12 (3:15 pm) at the Espaço Brasil area of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 16), in Cancun. The presentation will be made by environmental division manager Sergio Weguelin, and by BM&FBOVESPA environmental products manager Guilherme Fagundes.

The Exchange and the BNDES announced the proposal to create the ICO2 at COP 15 last year in Copenhagen, and the index’s first portfolio was launched yesterday (Thursday) at the BM&FBOVESPA.

Carbon Market

Guilherme Fagundes will also give a lecture about strengthening Brazil carbon market institutions and infrastructure. He will be speaking at the Espaço Brasil area, on December 6 (3:30 pm) alongside Christophe de Gouvello - Senior Energy Specialist at the World Bank Energy Cluster for Latin America.
