BM&F Market Segment Sets New Trading Record Via DMA: 31,259 Trades

BM&FBOVESPA set a new Direct Market Access (DMA) trading record today, May 19, on the BM&F market segment: 31,259 trades. The previous record of 30,629 trades was set on May 13. A total of 229,000 contracts were traded today, in comparison to 327,000 traded on May 13.

Orders routed to the GTS via the CME Group Globex

BM&F market segment ended the day (May 19) with 42,100 contracts traded through the order routing agreement with CME Group (Globex-GTS). At the end of the day 5,818 trades were also registered.

The order routing system with CME Group (Globex-GTS) was launched on September 30, 2008, and allows Globex clients, in more than 80 countries, to directly access BM&F market products. Among the products available for trading are futures and options contracts on interest rates, foreign exchange, and commodities such as coffee, corn, ethanol, and live cattle.
