Savvis, Inc. (NASDAQ: SVVS) reported that BATS Trading, Inc., operators of the BATS ECN, is now available via Savvis Exchange Express which provides low latency metro Ethernet network access to the fast-growing BATS trading platform. Previously, Savvis announced that Savvis Exchange Express is providing Ethernet access to direct feeds from the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) and SFTI (Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure). Based on metro Ethernet access to the BATS Exchange located in Savvis New York area data center, Savvis Exchange Express provides very low latency network access to the BATS trading platform. This may provide a key competitive advantage for algorithmic trading applications, especially when compared with traditional leased line network topologies.
BATS also participates in Savvis Proximity Hosting environment in Savvis New York area data center (announced September 17, 2007).
